There has been some improvement during the year in the waiting
period for admission to hospital of such cases.
Inspection and Supervision of Food
Hygiene of Food Premises.
This most important aspect of the Department's activities has again
received close attention. The work entailed covers a large field and the
District Sanitary Inspectors are responsible for the visits and inspections
which have been made to the following variety of food premises:—

Milk Supply. There are 95 Distributors on the Register. Samples of milk were taken in course of delivery to the various schools, day nurseries and hospitals in the district, as follows:—

Milk (Special Designations) Regulations. 197 licences were issued during the year to sell specially designated milk as follows:—
