The Acting Vaccination Officer, Mr. R. H. Box, has submitted the following Report:—
1. Number of Births returned in the "Birth List Sheets" as registered from 1st January to 31st December, 19311489
2. Number of these :—
(a) Successfully vaccinated871
(b) Insusceptible of Vaccination16
(c) Had Smallpox-
(d) Number in respect of whom Statutory Declaration of conscientious objection have been received356
(e) Died unvaccinated40
3. Number of these Births which on 31st January, 1932, remained unentered in the "Vaccination Register" on account of:—
(a) Postponement by Medical Certificate5
(b) Removal to Districts the Vaccination Officers of which have been duly apprised114
(c) Removal to places unknown, or which cannot be reached; and cases not having been found68
4. Number of these Births remaining on 31st January, 1932, neither duly entered in the "Vaccination Register" under headings numbered 2 nor tem-porily accounted for in the "Report Book" under headings numbered 319
5. Total number of Certificates of successful primary vaccination of children under 14 received during the Calendar year 1931 (including any relating to births registered in previous years)1061
6. Number of Statutory Declarations of conscientious objection actually received, irrespective of dates of birth of the children to which they relate, during the Calendar year 1931304
7. Number of cases of children in entries 1 and 2 (d) successfully vaccinated after the declaration of consientious objection had been made1
