Housing Act 1957-Closing Orders
No closing Orders were made during the year. In one case an Order
previously made was determined.
The Housing Manager has kindly supplied the following details:- | |

1) Number of families rehoused by the Borough in new flats and houses since the War | 5,750 |

Sanitary Inspection
The sanitary conditions of the Borough were subject to routine
inspection and investigations were made into the 2,296 complaints
received.
Particulars of the visits made by the public health inspectors,
together with the number of preliminary and statutory notices and the
number of proceedings instituted, are set out overleaf.
