Neonatal Mortality—From the accompanying table it can be
seen that neonatal mortality, i.e. infants dying before attaining the
age of one month, accounted for 32 deaths, equivalent to 60.4% of
all infant deaths and giving a Neonatal Mortality Rate of 10.34 per
1,000 live births. This rate is 3.86 less than that calculated for the
previous year and compares favourably with the figure of 11.6
