The majority of children suffering from verrucae are attended
by their family doctor, but the fact remains that a considerable
number attend the Minor Ailments Clinic for treatment of this
contagious, painful and preventable ailment. Verrucae in children
give concern to parents and teachers as well as School Medical
Officers. On page 297 of the report, reference is made to the
experimental use of a residual fungicidal preparation for floors
which is undergoing trial at one school.

VISION
It is significant that the majority of visual defects were found
as a result of routine examinations at ages 5 years, 7-8 year, 11-12
years and 15 years. This may signify that selective medical
examination, that is, waiting until symptoms manifest themselves
