Licensing of Slaughterhouses, Slaughtermen and Tripe Boiler
Premises.—There is one Slaughterhouse and One Tripe Boiler in
the Borough, the licences of which were duly renewed during the
year. Twelve licences to slaughtermen were renewed and one new
slaughterman's licence granted.
Meat Inspection.—Although a thousand fewer cattle were
slaughtered than in 1964, the total kill of 78,366 was higher by over
14,000, mainly due to a substantial increase in the number of pigs
slaughtered. Details are as follow: —
