Recuperative Holidays
On medical recommendation, recuperative holidays for mothers
and young children and for the prevention of illness and for care
and after care are provided in accordance with Sections 22 and 28
respectively of the National Health Service Act. Similar holiday
arrangements are made for school children under the School Health
Services scheme. In all such cases the emphasis is on rest, fresh
air and good food and the holidays are provided where regular
medical and nursing attention are not needed.
