and in respect of which an Order was made on 23th October,
1963. Information has just been received that the Order obtained
Ministry approval on 21st September, 1964, and that it will become
operative on 1st July, 1966.

Particulars in connection with the Greenwich No. 6 Smoke Control Order. 1963, are given in the following table and the accompanying plan indicates the area concerned.

Pollution Recording.—An atmospheric pollution measuring
station is maintained by the Council at the Town Hall and the
following table gives the daily mean concentration of smoke and
sulphur dioxide as calculated on readings taken at the Council's
station during 1963:—
