Public Sanitary Conveniences, etc.—The need for public
conveniences is as great as ever and the 9 Council conveniences
situated in the main arteries of traffic continue to provide a most
satisfactory service.
The Government's "credit squeeze" still prevented any
progress during the year in connection with the new convenience
envisaged at Woolwich Road in the vicinity of Anchor and Hope
Lane.

and 8 a.m.
On Sundays, Conveniences open at 10.30 a.m. and close at
10.30 p.m.
*During Summer Period this convenience opens at 8.30 a.m. on
Sunday.
