T.144	Chocolate Flavouring	Contained benzoic acid 500 parts per million by weight. It would seem that this article is not covered by the P.H. (Preservatives, etc. in Food) Regulations, 1925/53.	Letter to manufacturer suggesting alteration of label.
T.170	Dripping	Contained 2.5 %free fatty acids. Standard for this commodity is 1.5%	Letter to manufacturer. Further samples to be obtained.
T.171	Horseradish	Deficient in aroma due to loss of enzyme activity and of little use as a condiment.	Remaining stocks withdrawn.
T.175	Meringue Mixture	Article contained neither sugar nor albumen.	Stock withdrawn.
T.221	Brisling in Edible Oil (Canned)	Contained an excessive proportion of tin, viz: 3.4 grains per pound.	Stock withdrawn.
T.233	Canned Salmon	Label pictured bright red section of salmon on plate. Sample consisted of pink salmon. Label calculated to mislead purchaser as to quality of article.	Letter to Canners.
T.289	Vegetarian Sausage Meal	Carcase of small fly and a quantity of insect webbing and droppings were found in the sample.	Existing stocks withdrawn and destroyed.
T.305	Chocolate Cigarettes	Chocolate paper covering made from wood pulp and was indigestible (presence not mentioned in list of ingredients). Rice paper is customarily used in this connection.	Matter taken up with Importers.
T.312	Herring Tid-bits in Wine Sauce (Canned)	Alcohol virtually absent. Description "Wine Sauce" is therefore liable to be misleading.	Importers have agreed to the reexport of the consignment.
T.316	Minced Turkey	Label was such as to bo liable to mislead.	Manufacturer has introduced new label.
T.318	Peeled Shrimps in Salt Water (Canned)	Shrimps had obtectionable metallic taste due to an excessive proportion of iron.	Stock withdrawn.
