T. 12			Dripping			Contained an excess of free fatty acids.			Warning letter to manufacturer. All stock held ' Written off.'
T. 69			Iodine Paint			Contained an excessive proportion of Iodine and Potassium Iodide compared with the formula given on the label.			Being old stock concentration due to evaporation. Remaining stock destroyed.
T. 70			Curry Powder			Had caked and been attacked by mildew. Had also been contaminated at the point of contact with the metal ends.			Remainder of stock destroyed.
T. 90			Iodised Throat Tablets			Deficient in Methyl Salicylate.			Old Stock. Deficiency due to overlong storage. Letter to manufacturer.
T. 115			Tangerines			Contained Thiourea, 40 parts per million, by weight. Thiourea is a preservative and its presence in food is not permitted by the Public Health (Preservatives, etc., in Food) Regulations, 1925/.53			Information passed to Ministry of Food.
T. 137			Milk			Contained Fat, 3.46%, Solids— not—fat, 8.35%, corresponding to the presence of one per cent added water.			Satisfactory reply received to letter to Distributor.
T. 142			Milk			Contained Fat, 3.44%, Solids— not—fat, 8.40% corresponding to the presence of one per cent added water.			Warning letter to Distributor.
T. 145			Milk			Contained Fat 1.30%, Solids— not—fat, 8.68% corresponding to the abstraction of 56% of the milk—fat.			Sample taken from part—used churn at a hospital store. Result due to milk not being plunged before use by hospital staff. Hospital Superintendent notified.
