the National Assistance Act, 1948, the Council is required to arrange

During 1953 arrangements were made under the above Act for
the burial of 4 bodies (3 males and 1 female). The total expenses
of these burials amounted to £34 3s. 6d., of which the sum of
£17 Is. Id. was recovered, making the nett cost to the Council of
£17 2s. 5d.
