It is the duty of every citizen to report to us all cases of indifferent
service, dirty premises or unclean food. If the public will take the
trouble to patronise only those traders who aspire to the highest
standards, our job will be the easier.
The standards of hygiene in Greenwich are as high as in any
other comparable Borough in the country, but there is still room
for improvement. Progress in this direction has been steady for
several years due to many factors, but the Guild of Hygiene and the
Health Department can take mcdcst pride in claiming some credit
for that achievement.
