AGE MORTALITY. The age mortality and the distribution of the deaths between the different quarters of the year is shown by the following table:—

INFANTILE MORTALITY.
The Infantile Mortality Rate measured by the deaths of children
under 1 year of age to the number of live births registered was
26 per thousand live births, as compared with 34 for the previous
year. For the County of London the Rate was 37 and for England
and Wales, 41.
This is the lowest Infantile Mortality Rate ever recorded in the
Borough.
The total number of deaths during the year was 51 as compared
with 59 for the previous year.
