Much could be written of the work of certain individuals,
part-time and full-time, in the strengthening of the developing
organisation. Apart from the pure first aid aspect there were
other circumstances which brought to light hidden talent and
enthusiasm. The problem of catering for many scattered Units
was not easy. The developing of recreations to combat staleness,
the arrangement of rotas, etc., in the case of each Post or Depot
presented peculiar difficulties. These difficulties were obviated,
and arrangements went smoothly because of the unselfish endeavours
of some of those with whom I have the privilege to work and to
whose service I refer in this record.
