PUBLIC SANITARY CONVENIENCES, Etc.
Speaking generally, the Borough is adequately served in the
way of public sanitary accommodation. The conveniences are
situated in the main arteries of traffic, and there is no doubt whatever
that the use by the public of such conveniences is on the
increase.
Owing to the general dilapidated condition of the South Street
convenience which was erected before 1900, it was decided to
remodel the entire convenience at an estimated cost of £1,153,
and at the end of the year the works were almost completed.
Appended is a Table showing particulars of the Public Conveniences
provided by the Council:—
