only and nothing else, except the raising ingredients. The Defendant
pleaded guilty to giving a false warranty and was fined £15
and 25 guineas costs.
Public Health (Pkeseratives, etc. in Food) Regulations.
—Only three samples were reported on adversely by the Public
Analyst under the above Regulations. They were one formal and
one informal sample of Pudding Sugar and one informal sample of
Blackcurrant Jelly. Particulars as to action taken are set out in
Table regarding samples reported not genuine on page 75.
Dried Milk.—There were no samples taken under the Public
Health (Dried Milk) Regulations, 1923 and 1927, during the year.
Public Health (Condensed Milk) Regulations, 1923,
1927.—Eleven samples were taken during the year and in every
instance were reported upon as genuine. The rules regarding
proper labelling were also observed.
Wholesale Mabgabine Dealebs.—There were no alterations
to the register during the year and the following premises are still
registered under the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, 1928,
where the business of a Wholesale Dealer in Margarine is carried
on in the Borough:—
