in the field of medical therapeutics. Apart from its recognised
value in cases of rickets, tuberculous glands, lupus and skin sepsis,
its effect upon the debilitated and malnourished child, is often
considerable, and it is gratifying to note that in almost every case
even where obvious improvement is not manifest, the parents
almost always record that these children eat and sleep better and
appear to be more lively as a result of a course of Light treatment.
It has moreover, been found to be very helpful as a "tonic"
to expectant and nursing mothers.
Clinics are held at all the Welfare Centres. As previously,
evening sessions were held during the winter months. These
evening sessions are available for paying patients. The fees
charged arc 12/- for 6 treatments or 20/- for 12 treatments. During
the year 24 patients were given 291 treatments, the fees received
totalling £30 6s. 8d.
The arrangements with the authorities of the Roan Schools
made in 1933, continue to be in force.
