Children Acts, 1908 and 1932.—The duties under these Acts
were transferred by the London County Council to the Borough
Council on 1st April, 1933, and the powers under the Acts have
been re-enacted in the Public Health (London) Act, 1936.
The supervision of Foster-children and of the homes of fostermothers is carried out by the Health Visitors. Applications for
registration as a Foster-mother under the Act is sanctioned by the
Borough Council on the recommendation of the Maternity and Child
Welfare Committee.
Dunns' the vear 202 visits were made bv the Health Visitors.

There were several minor infringements under the Act, the
chief being failure to notify change of address of Infant, and in
each case the Foster Mother was cautioned.
