Hygiene, the Dental Board of the United Kingdom, the I.C.A.A.,
the British Social Hygiene Council, the St. John's Ambulance
Brigade, the National Milk Publicity Council, and the special
exhibit dealing with the work of Maternity and Child Welfare.
The Small Concert Hall was utilised for continuous
cinema displays and popular health lectures.
It is estimated that about ten thousand members of the
general public attended the Greenwich Health Week, in addition
to 750 mothers with their babies from the Welfare Centres and
1,500 senior school children. The event attracted not only a
great amount of local interest, but many representatives of
other Authorities made a point of attending.
Maternal Mortality.—In accordance with the request
of the Ministry of Health to be furnished with information
respecting Maternal Mortality your Medical Officer of Health
investigated the cause of five deaths which were certified to
be due to or associated with pregnancy or childbirth, and reports
were forwarded to the Maternal Mortality Committee on every
case.

The following Table shows the Mortality of Women in Childbirth per 1,000 Children born alive, distinguishing Septic and Other Causes for the last five years.
