trying to idenity myself with the community in Finsbury and to help it
to overcome the many adverse conditions that have prevailed. The
plight of so many before, during and immediately after the war, was
indeed a sad one but hope for the future was never lost, and I have
been very happy to see the greatly improved circumstances that have
been brought about in recent years. I am proud of some of my accomplishments,
but very conscious of my very many shortcomings, and ways in
which I have failed.
Finally Mr. Mayor I extend through you my affectionate good wishes
for the future of all in Finsbury.
I have the honour to be,
Your obedient servant,
C. O. S. BLYTH BROOKE,
Medical Officer of Health.
