Improvement Grants:
Property Owners in the borough have taken little advantage
of the financial assistance available under the Housing Acts
whereby improvements can be effected to sub-standard houses at
the discretion of the Council.
One formal application only was received by the Council
during the year in respect of proposed works of improvement, which
was approved.
Outline applications or informal enquiries were made with
regard to 8 other premises.
Two applications for "standard grants" were received but
were subsequently withdrawn.
