There have been no cases or contacts during the year.
Smallpox.
There have been no cases or contacts during the year.
Typhoid Fever.
There have been no cases or contacts during the year.
Paratyphoid Fever.
Two boys attending the same school but living in other boroughs
developed paratyphoid B. All contacts were kept under supervision
and no further cases developed.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
Five cases were notified. They all responded well to treatment
and no blindness developed.
Puerperal Pyrexia.
There were 4 notifications but no deaths.
Meningococcal Infections.
There were two contacts from a house in which a child had
died of cerebrospinal meningitis. They were both kept under supervision
and remained well.
