Food Poisoning.
Thirty-one eases of Food Poisoning were notified during the
year. There were no deaths.
There were four outbreaks of Food Poisoning due to identified
causes during the year.
One outbreak due to an unidentified cause occurred as under:—
Domestic (March). 3 cases notified. Suspected cause:
Sausages.
Apart from the outbreak detailed above, the following individual
cases were investigated :
Agent identified:
1 in January Salmonella (? type)
1 in February do.
1 in May Salmonella Typhi-murium
1 in September do.
1 in October do.
1 in October Salmonella " Thompson "
