Measles: There were two deaths directly attributable to measles during the year.
Of the 270 cases which occurred 57 were removed to hospital, partly on medical
and partly on social grounds. Special visits were paid to all cases nursed at home.
Para-typhoid: There was one notification during the year.
Provision of Insulin: By virtue of Section 227 of the Public Health (London) Act,
1936, the borough continued to boar the cost of treatment of diabetes in the case
of necessitous persons. 8 persons received assistance during the year at a
cost to the Council of £44.1.4d.

Tubereulosis: The total number of now cases of tuberculosis, both pulmonary and non-pulmonary, entered in the Register in 1947 was 87. The ago period details were as follows:
