Typhoid: There was one notification during the year.
Provision of Insulin: By virtue of Section 227of the Public Health (London)
Act, 1936, the borough continued to bear the cost of treatment of diabetes
in the case of necessitous persons. 5 persons received assistance during
the year at a cost to the Council of £28. 6s. 3d.
Tuberculosis: The total number of now cases of tuberculosis, both pulmonary
and non-pulmonary, ontered in the Register in 1946 was 89. The age period
details were as follows:
0- 1- 5- 10- 15- 20- 25- 35- 45- 55- 65- all
ages.
