SHELTER HEALTH.
The lull in enemy activity from August, 1942, continued
with little interruption during the year. My department, however,
remained responsible for shelter cleanliness and hygiene. All
shelters were regularly visited by the spray squad and the
lavatory cleaning squad. This work was carried out under the
general direction of the Medical Officer of Civil Defence.
