It is very probable, however, that this list does not contain
all the deaths from phthisis which occur in Finsbury. Some are
probably concealed on the death certificates and wrongly entered
as due to pneumonia, bronchitis, or influenza.
Allotted to districts, 24 deaths from phthisis belonged to
Clerkenwell, 8 to St. Luke's and 2 to St. Sepulchre. The total
deaths in the Borough, the deaths due to tuberculosis, and the
resulting percentages of the total are given in the annexed table :—
