even during the night. Nevertheless despite the practical difficulties of
inspection and ascertaining precise numbers in occupation, this Department
will continue to report to the Committee for any action cases of
statutory overcrowding which become apparent.
In conclusion 1 must express gratitude to the Chairman and Vice-
Chairman for their support at all times, and to the staff for work done
during the year under review.
