Tuberculosis
During the year formal notifications (corrected) under the Public Health
(Tuberculosis) Regulations , 1952 , were received in respect of 20 caser of respiratory
tuberculosis and 6 non-respiratory as compared with 33 respiratory cases and four
non-respiratory cases for the previous year:-

In addition to the above , information was received of 24 other cases by transfers
from other areas.
There were 4 deaths during the year certified as being due to tuberculosis.
The following table shows the number of cases on the Tuberculosis Register
at the end of 1961, variations which have taken place during the year, and the number
of cases remaining on the Register on the 31st December, 1962.
