PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS DISEASE
The total number of notifications of infectious disease, excluding Food
Poisoning, during 1961 was 1,068 as compared with 897 in 1959 and 340 in 1960.
No notifications were received in respect of the following diseases:-
Diphtheria, Encephalitis, Poliomyelitis, Puerperal Pyrexia, Ophthalmia
Neonatorum.
The number of cases of diseases notified is shown in Table 10 which
follows, and requires no special comment.
