Tuberculosis
During the year formal notifications (corrected) under the Public Health
(Tuberculosis) Regulations, 1952, were received in respect of 34 cases of respiratory
tuberculosis and 2 non-respiratory as compared with 39 respiratory cases and three
non-respiratory cases for the previous year.

The following table gives details of the age and sex incidence of these cases:- TABLE 11

In addition to the above, information was received of 22 other cases by
transfers from other areas.
There were 4 deaths during the year certified as being due to tuberculosis.
The following table shows the number of cases on the Tuberculosis
Register at the end of 1959, variations which have taken place during the year, and
the number of cases remaining on the Register on the 31st December, 1960.
