London County Council (General Powers) Act, 1927
Summonses were taken out against two firms of demolition
contractors for falling, so far as necessary to prevent nuisance
arising from dust, to cause water constantly to be used on each
floor during demolition and to cause all materials to be freely
sprinkled with water.
Defendants were each fined £1, with £3.3s.Od. costs in one case.
Rent Act, 1957
The Rent Act, 1957. received the Royal Assent on 6th June, 1957.
and came into force on 6th July, 1957. Details of applications
received in accordance with the First Schedule of the Act, for the
period 6th July to 31st December, 1957. are as follows:-
