DEATHS.
The number of deaths during the year belonging
to the Borough was 1,052. This gives an annual
crude death rate of 11.3 Per 1,000 Population
which when multiplied by the Registrar-General's
Comparability Factor (1.13) is corrected to 12.8 and
may be compared with 11.4 (similarly corrected)
for the County of London and 11.6 for England and
Wales as a whole.
Infantile mortality and the deaths from cancer,
tuberculosis and other infectious diseases are
subjects of comment in other Parts of this report.
