Difficulty is still experienced in getting some
employers promptly and accurately to send in copies
of their list of outworkers, but no legal proceedings
were taken in the matter during the year.
It may be of interest to mention that some of the
homeworkers resident in Bethnal Green are employed
by firms whose place of business is as far away as
Cardiff, Enfield, Epsom, Kingston and Richmond
and local firms have sent in lists containing outworkers
resident in Ashford, Canvey Island, DagenhamHornchurch,
Rochford and Southend-on-Sea.
