On 20 occasions during the year, unsound food comprising the following articles was surrendered by the owners, examined and destroyed as trade refuse:—

FOOD POISONING.
During the year 29 cases of suspected food poisoning
were investigated.
The subject is dealt with more fully in the preceding
section dealing with the control of Disease.
PHARMACY AND POISONS ACT, 1933.
Under this Act, 32 persons have been placed on
the Council's list in respect of 34 premises as authorised,
subject to the provisions of the Act and regulations,
to sell poisons specified in Part II of the
Poisons List.
