CONVALESCENT TREATMENT.
During the year 20 mothers were sent to various
convalescent homes, usually for a period of two weeks,
after confinement.
The number of children sent away to various
convalescent homes totalled 143 against the corresponding
figure for 1936 of 77. The three cots engaged
