In conclusion I would like to thank the Medical Officers of Health, the
Hospital Physicians and Surgeons, the Resident Medical Officer, and the
Hospital Secretary for their valuable help and advice, and the Dispensary
Staff for their efficient work and loyal support.
H. TYLFORD HOWELL.
14th March, 1934.
It is with very deep regret that I have to report the death from Pneumonia
on 24.1.34 of Dr. W. J. Dowling, the Assistant Tuberculosis Officer.
Dr. Dowling was an able physician and a most agreeable and loyal colleague,
very popular with his patients by reason of his unfailing courtesy, his bright
and cheery manner, and his ready sympathy. His services to the department
were unstinting, and his loss will be keenly felt.
