PUBLIC MORTUARY.
(Church Row, Bethnal Green, E.2.)
During the year 128 bodies were received at the
Mortuary, i.e.:—
On Coroner's order 102
From the Police 2
At the request of relatives 24
Exact particulars are only available as to the 56
bodies on which coroner's inquests were held. On 17
of these bodies post-mortem examinations were made.
There were also 48 post-mortem examinations made in
cases in which there was no inquest.
