CANCER.
Cancer was responsible for 150 deaths or 12 per cent. of the total deaths in the Borough. The local distribution of the disease in these deaths was as follows:—

Cancer: it is most important to secure early treatment.
Any woman with a suspicious swelling in the region
of the breast, even if painless, should seek medical
advice at once and the same applies to suspicious
growths of any kind in either sex.
