TUBERCULOSIS.
Tuberculosis of all kinds is notifiable, and particulars
of the number of notification certificates received
during the year are set out in the tables appended
hereto, from which it will be seen that 198 new cases of
Tuberculosis were notified under the Public Health
(Tuberculosis) Regulations. In addition, there were
34 cases which came to my knowledge other than by
notification, 22 of these being after death, making a
total of 232 cases.
The number of patients remaining on the Tuberculosis
Register at the 31st December, 1930, was 1,410.
The details are given in the table on page 94.
During the year the Registrar-General reported
96 deaths from Pulmonary Tuberculosis, and 12 deaths
from other tuberculous diseases.
