DEATHS OF INFANTS.
The number of deaths of infants under the age of one year
was 41, the infant mortality rate being 103 per 1,000 births.
This compares with an average infant mortality rate of 102 for
the corresponding quarters in the five previous years. The rate
for the County of London was 100.
SMALLPOX.
During March, 1929, ten cases of smallpox were notified.
They were all, fortunately, of the mild type.

I report that I submitted a representation to the Council
in respect of the Digby Street Area, embracing certain houses
in Digby Street and Digby Walk, on the 27th March, 1929.
