Representation was also made with a view to obtaining a Closing
Order under Section 12 of the Act in respect of the first and second
one house. Further action has been suspended, however, as
the owner has voluntarily undertaken to demolish the first and second
floor down to the level of the shop premises, and to complete the
work within six months.
Increase of Rent, etc., Acts.
Eleven applications were received from tenants for the certificate
the Sanitary Authority under the above-mentioned Acts, and ten
certificates were granted. In the eleventh case a certificate was not
granted, as all the defects to the premises were considered to be due to
war damage.
Eight applications from owners for the report of the Sanitary
Authority were received, and were granted in each case.
