The London County Council, with a view to establishing a
closer link between the Maternity and Child Welfare clinics of the
borough councils and the general hospitals of the County Council,
invited the Council to agree in principle to the association of the
medical officers of the clinics in an honorary capacity with the
maternity departments and ante-natal clinics at the hospitals.
