Cost of Maternity Hospital.
I am indebted to the courtesy of the Borough Treasurer for
the following statement of the cost of the Home during the financial
year ended 31st March, 1935:—
Maternity Hospital, 1934—5.
Total beds(excluding cots, labour and isolation beds), 30;
total cases admitted and discharged during year, 477; average
number of beds occupied during the year, excluding cots, labour
and isolation beds, 17.8; number of weeks spent in Institution
by such patients, 969.4.
A statement* showing expenditure for the year ended 31st
March, 1935, in respect of the Maternity Hospital is given on the
next page.
