The duties of sanitary authorities in relation to the sanitation
of factories are few, and are limited mainly to the enforcement
of suitable and sufficient sanitary accommodation for
factory employees.
One new factory premises was added to the register during
the year, dealing with various trades, and 7 were removed.
During the year 25 preliminary and 3 statutory notices
were served under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891, for
defects found on factory premises, for the most part relating
to defective or insufficient sanitary accommodation, and all were
duly complied with.
