Staff.
Dr. Bach, the Resident Medical Officer of the Borough Maternity
Hospital, left the Council's service in June, and in the same
month Dr. K. Aylwin-Gibson was appointed to the post.
During the year the department has also sustained the loss, by
superannuation, of three of their older officers, viz.: Miss A. Moss,
health visitor and sanitary inspector, who retired in June after 26
years' service; and Messrs. J. J. Burgess and H. H. May, sanitary
inspectors, who were superannuated in April after 26 and 39 years
respectively.
Miss E. M. Hoyles, Health Visitor, resigned her appointment in
January, and Miss K. Morrison, District Midwife, in December.
Miss H. A. Blackburn and Miss B. E. Prager were appointed
in April to fill the two vacancies on the Health Visiting staff, and
in October Miss B. L. Kaye, Health Visitor, was appointed Sanitary
Inspector also.
