The death-rate, during 1932 was 12.1. It was lowest in the
Latchmere Ward (10.4), and highest in Park Ward (13.8). The
deaths of persons over 65 years numbered 898 or 47.4 per cent. of
the total deaths. The average age at death was 55.7 years, as
compared with 55.3 in 1932. Decreased death-rates were recorded
in five Wards of the Borough.

over deaths) was 424 in 1932 as compared with 546 in 1931.
