Coroner's Court and Mortuary.
In view of the increased number of inquests consequent upon
the extended powers given by the Coroners (Amendment) Act,
1926, the County Council approached the Council with a proposal
that inquests in the Western Coroners' District (comprising the
Boroughs of Battersea, Chelsea, Fulham, Hammersmith and
Wandsworth) should be held in future either at the Battersea or
the Hammersmith Court.
The Council agreed to the extended use of the Court in the
manner proposed, subject to the County Council re-imbursing the
additional expense occasioned.
