OTHER HEALTH EDUCATION ACTIVITIES
Hospitals
Talks in hospitals by health visitors continued. These were given to mothers awaiting
discharge following delivery in St. Mary's Hospital, Praed Street, and Princess Beatrice
Hospital, Chelsea. Subjects included were "Care of Infants", "Health Visiting", and "Other
Services Available".
Psychoprophylaxis
The psychoprophylaxis classes continued at Holland Street, Walmer Road, Kensal
New Town, South Kensington, Violet Melchett and Lancaster Road health centres. In
addition to the day time classes, sessions were held during the evenings to which expectant
fathers were invited. With the evening sessions, where appropriate, this included a visit to
the maternity unit in Princess Beatrice Hospital.
